FAQ

Q: Does your company carry full liability insurance in case of an accident?

A: Yes! We are fully insured! Many people do not realize that any accident caused on a bounce house is not likely covered by their homeowners insurance. We carry full liability insurance and workers’ compensation insurance.

Q: Does the price include set up and delivery?

A: Yes, but additional fees may apply for areas outside of our normal delivery zone. Remember, prices do not include sales tax.

Q: Do you deliver to other cities?

A: Yes, but please be aware that additional fees may apply due to the fluctuation in operating expenses. Please call our office for a current quote.

Q: Do you charge by the hour?

A: No. We don’t believe in placing a time limit on your party. We work very hard to make sure that you get the most for your money. The only unit that we do have to charge by the hour for is the Euro Bungee due to staffing cost. Additionally, we do provide supervision of units when requested by the customer, and this service is invoiced based on an hourly rate per employee requested.

Q: When do you set up?

A: It depends on how many rentals we have that day. Generally, we arrive 2 hours before the event is scheduled to begin. If we have multiple rentals on a given day, or the size of a given order requires more time to set up, we may require a 4 hour window for set up. If this is the case, we will do our best to notify you in a timely fashion.

Q: We have rented some really dirty inflatable units from other companies in the past. Are they always that dirty?

A: No. Our inflatables should be clean when they arrive. Jazzy Jumpers works very hard to ensure that every unit is regularly cleaned and sanitized.

Q: Do we have to keep it plugged in the entire time?

A: Yes. A blower keeps air in the unit inflated throughout the entire time of operation. Once unplugged, the unit(s) will deflate. This is why we require access to an outlet within 100´ of the location of the unit or the rental of one of our Jazzy Jumpers generators. We provide our own heavy duty extension cords to ensure proper operation.

Q: What about parks? Do parks have electricity?

A: We love setting up at parks, but most parks do NOT have easy access to electricity. If you want to set up at a park, you must rent a Jazzy Jumpers generator which we offer at a reasonable cost. Keep in mind that parks generally function on a first come, first serve basis, so we recommend that you get your spot early in the day.

Q: Do you require a deposit?

A: All reservations require a 20% non-refundable deposit. Your event will not be reserved until we receive this deposit. In the event of severe weather, you will be given a rain check toward another event that is good for 1 year. Please note that we must receive notice no later than 24 hours before your scheduled event. If your event is one that is being staffed by us, we require 48 hour notice of cancellation. Please note that it is our intention to work with our clients in any way possible, but it is also important that we extend appropriate courtesy to our exceptional staff.

Q: What payments do you take?

A: We accept payment by cash, checks or credit card. If paying by cash, please have exact change as our drivers do not carry extra cash. All checks can be made payable to Jazzy Jumpers. Please note that all events are required to be paid in full prior to the set up on the day of the event.

Q: If I am going to cancel a jumper, how far in advance do I need to let Jazzy Jumpers know?

A: Should you need to cancel your event for any reason, you MUST call to cancel at least 24 hours prior to your contracted start time. Should you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, you will be charged the FULL rental price. If your event is one that is being staffed by us, we require 48 hour notice of cancellation. Please note that it is our intention to work with our clients in any way possible, but it is also important that we extend appropriate courtesy to our exceptional staff.

Q: How big are the inflatables?

A: Most of our bounce houses (all of our character jumps for example) are 15´x15´, which is bigger than many other companies rent. Please note the space required for each inflatable set up (listed near the large picture). Some are VERY big and require extra space. When in doubt, measure your space to make sure the unit you are considering will fit. Inflatables need space to be staked or sand-bagged, and they need space for the blower. Inflatables can´t rub against walls or trees as this may damage the unit. If you have stairs or a tiered backyard, please call our office to discuss options for setup.

Q: What about the big inflatables? Do they have any special requirements?

A: Check the requirements listed with each unit on our website. Also, make sure you have at least a 4´ access to the area where it will be set up. The inflatables can weigh up to 1,200 pounds so we need a clear path with ample room to allow for our movement and appropriate set up.

Q: What surfaces do you set up on?

A: We can set up on Grass (our favorite and best for the kids), dirt, asphalt, and concrete. We can´t set up on any type of rocks or gravel as the constant rubbing will damage the units.

Q: Can we see a copy of your contract and safety rules?

A: Yes. There is a link in your receipt once you’ve ordered or you may contact our office.

Q: Are we responsible for the unit if it gets torn or damaged in any way?

A: Yes and no. You are not responsible for normal wear and tear on our units. Seams may develop tears in high traffic areas over a period of time. If this happens please alert us at once so we can remedy the situation. If however, damage occurs due to failure to follow our safety rules or as the result of other negligence (i.e. not turning off the blower in high winds) you will be responsible for all damages up to and including replacement of the unit, the blower, etc. This can cost thousands of dollars. We don´t want to be put in that situation, and we don’t want to see our customers in that situation. This is why we review and have you sign and initial all of our safety rules so that you can be the trained operator for your event. Optional damage insurance is available for your peace of mind.
